Hey lovely people!

Mid-year exam's coming straight at us soon! Time to study real hard for it. Cut down on shopping and unnecessary outings. Also, please stop hanging around in school after lessons. Because many of us will be bored and will be tempted to play half-court netball till 6 plus. Dont let our three teachers down or else they will not let you off. Im not included of course, i've already step down.
How sweet~
haha Just kidding seriously.

Looking forward to see all of you back on court! Best of luck for your exam, alright?

Lots of love,
Charine

Good riddance, is just a joke.

Dear sec 1-5s NV netballers and netball alumni,

I wish to thank all of you for putting in so much effort to train and play for NV. But as you matter so much to us, everything you do or you don't do, have a great impact on Ms Koh, Ms Loo and myself. Therefore, I find that I have to write this post. I hope you can really digest what I say and start reflecting.

10 years down the road, how do you want to remember your secondary school life?

1) I trained hard and played hard together with my fellow team mates. I really enjoyed my netball life. However, because of that, my studies suffered.
OR
2) I trained very hard and enjoyed the times I had with my team mates. I am really happy that I managed to do well despite being so busy.

Which do you prefer? Do you want the best part of your school life - netball (I hope) to become your regret?

I have very fond memories looking back at my own secondary school life (I know it is ages ago) because, up till now and till the day I die, I can proudly say that I was able to get better results because I played netball.

Why? Is it because I am smarter? Not really. I was very determined to prove my mum wrong… that netball did not affect my studies. So I made full use of my time. Don’t you want to do that too?

How come those who just graduated are able to get such good results? Is it because she is 'Min Hui' so she will definitely be good? Or she is 'Christina' and I am not 'Christina'?

Ask yourself, how many times have you conveniently used 'lots of netball training' as an excuse for bad results or used 'I am not good at that subject' as an excuse too?

Firstly, I think it all boils down to determination. Don’t give yourself excuses.

Working hard and not giving up is what I admire about Christina. Have you seen the amount of effort she puts to ensure that she performs well in a game? Have you seen how much effort she puts into her studies? Her ‘never say die’ attitude is something that I feel that all of you can also adopt.

All of you put in so much effort for NV netball... That is very admirable. I sincerely hope that you can apply that to your studies too.

Secondly, I find that some of you waste too much time. If you know that you have sacrificed lots of precious time for netball, or that you have lots to catch up…. Please use your time wisely. I have never believed in stopping netball completely for studies. I know you will need a break after all your CRTs and lessons. However, what is worrying is that you are not limiting your ‘relax’ time and that you are satisfied with poor results.

Why did I decide to write this long post? …

1) I have heard concerns from other teachers regarding your poor academic performance.
2) I have also heard people giving ‘netball’ as an excuse for poor results.
3) I see you wasting time for so many days in so many ways.

All these things sadden me.

Should I just train you once a week and not expect results? Will that make you happier or become better students? Is my effort spent on making you better players wasted? Have I made you lousier students instead? Am I letting your parents down?

When you sacrifice your time to train, Ms Koh, Ms Loo and myself also sacrifice our time to help you. Should we put ourselves to such trouble? We can use that time to do other work.

All I need from you – belief, determination and discipline.
You showed it in netball, now show it in your studies.

Sec 1s: Continue to work hard and study hard. You have a long way to go.
Sec 2s: Continue to work hard and study hard, but please remember to respect you teachers.
Sec 3s: Work hard, study hard, believe in yourselves and don’t give up and don’t get distracted by unnecessary stuff.
Sec 4s: No time left to waste. Limit your dinnertime and play time. Be determined to catch up with your work. Believe in yourselves. No more excuses.
Sec 5s: The two of you show determination to do well. I believe you can do it.

Alumni: Wherever you are, work hard. As much as we are in your memory, you are in our memory too. Stay in touch.

I do not like to nag, I am still too young to nag. Don't make me nag at you.

Love,
Mrs Tan

PS: Do you believe if I told you I am crying while writing this? Maybe pregnant woman is more emotional. BTW, the password for this blog is very emm… funny.

We Are Officially Dead.
(Large, bold & red in colour)

I've been popping in this blog, and I see no one updating. Geesh, we need a full time blogger. I'm boring & dull, and I bet no one likes my 'jokes' & entries. Hahahaha. The reason why I'm blogging in large fonts is because I think that it is good for my eyes. I don't have to strain them, and it is relaxing. Readers won't have a hard time reading too. Don't you think so? I'm thoughtful. :)

B'div 09 is on the run! That is a big news. I mean, not escaping, as in we've become a B'division team. I get very excited when I think of who I'll be working with. Defenders rule. Of course, the mid-fielders & shooters. Hahaha. I should'nt be laughing, I'm a mid-fielder too. ( WD) Not because I'm short for a defender, is because I'm trained to be one! (Excuses & more excuses)

I'm very proud of the secondary ones. You see, for the past 2 years, girls come in & quit after a few months of tough training and guess what, this year has changed! So far, none has quit & I hope you girls will keep going. Hope to have netball camp all together. This year, BBQ. Please! (Inserts laughter)

Friday, International Friendship Day. I'm baking a cake to celebrate but it won't be big. Some may get a chance to eat, some may not. Just a little something from me. Haha. Don't say I did'nt tell you!

I want to play the Angel & Mortal game! Who wants to be my Mortal & Angel? I know. Halibush & Tinybush! -.-

Love,
The Mighty Rachel Chua. :D

We did'nt make it, but I guess it is alright. We tried, we tried. :D This is hard for all of us but time will heal the pain. Good job! Thank you Mrs Tan, Miss Loo, Miss Koh and all supporters! :)

To all secondary 3 and 2. We are merging soon. I'm excited! And also, next year is ours. Train hard! I can't waaaaittt! I hope we'll do well as a team and of course, have loads of fun. :) Yeah, and everything will start from the beginning. Heart attacks for coaches, selections and all. But hey, come to think about it, this is what makes netball a fun sport. HAHA.

IT IS NOT OVER...YET. JUST WAIT & SEE. ;) POSITIVENESS ALL THE WAAAY.

Rachel
